Merchandising jobs play an important role in guiding customers to promotional sales and featured products. As a merchandiser, you’ll be responsible for the placement and display of store items from the moment of delivery to the moment of purchase. Plus, you’ll help inform customers about the variety of products a store has to offer.

Merchandisers typically ensure that shelves are fully stocked, track inventory levels, report shortages to upper management, make sure that products are sold at the right price, and follow blueprints when setting up product and advertising displays. Most merchandisers receive on-the-job training on store policies, product displays and promotions, and inventory management software.
