<p>Columbia River Catholic (Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish, Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Mission) is looking for a full-time, paid intern for Summer 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for a young adult man or woman 19 years and older seeking hands-on parishministry experience. The summer internship will include assisting Evangelization Team staff with the implementation of summer programming, conference support, ministry ownership, sacramental coordination experiences, communication, outreach, and behind the scenes clerical work. Some weekend and evening work will be required, as well as regular office hours. Spiritual development, support, and one-on-one mentorship will be an integral part of this position. <br/><br/><strong>Summary:</strong><br/><br/>Assist with the preparation for and leading of Middle School Intensive and Vacation Bible School, shadowing a staff member at every stage of development. Work with a staff member to co-lead a high school group attending a summer conference (Ignite NW at the University of Portland) Assist with various sacramental and liturgical events, possibly including infant baptism weekend, a wedding, OCIA sessions, etc. while shadowing a staff member. Applicants must have a good knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic church and must be living their faith daily. They must have a desire to work with our young people, their parents, and their teachers to pass on the faith. The role of the Children's Evangelization Director is to support the weekly religious education of children from Pre-5th grade along with their parents in knowledge and understanding of our faith and prepare them for receiving the Sacraments. Duties are both ministry and administrative as you serve our young people and their families. Educational Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Theology or Catechesis is preferred. Prior work in ministry or religious education is preferred. The applicant must be faithful to Catholic teachings. The position will include weekend and evening hours. Average 35 hours/week with hours fluctuating depending on parish schedule. Responsibilities begin June 2026. </p>

This role safeguards stewardship of Archdiocesan resources while upholding internal controls, U.S. GAAP, and Archdiocesan financial policies.
