The purpose of this position is to manage human resources and the business office functions of the community in accordance with current standards, guidelines, and established policies.Essential Job FunctionsHuman Resources Functions (80%)<ul><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Handle tasks related to pre-boarding/onboarding new team members, coordination and implementation of new hire orientation and coordinating with cross-functional departments to ensure an exceptional first-day experience.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Monitor team member surveys including new hire, pulse and exit interview and follow up with appropriate individuals.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Assist in the administration of FMLA/ADA process through our 3rd party administrator and provide support to Team Members as needed.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Work with leaders on employee relations or performance issues.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Provide daily HR support to Team Members.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of personnel records and HRIS system according to policy and compliance with state and federal requirements.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Ensure training and education are completed per job requirements and facilitate communication between departmental management regarding Team Member credentialing renewals.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Performs periodic audits of personnel records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Assist in the communication & interpretation of the Team Member handbook.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Educate Team Members on their benefit options and enrollment process. </li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Support HR functions including new company initiatives, day to day follow up and all HR administrative needs.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">May supervise 1 – 3 non-exempt team members.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Perform other human resources related duties as assigned.</li></ul>Business Office Functions (10%)<ul><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Responsible for collection of A/R in adherence to company collection policies and procedures.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Maintain daily facility census, reconciling discrepancies with other departments.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Responsible for cash management, including scanning deposits, monitor petty cash funds (if applicable), oversee resident trust (if applicable) and bank reconciliations.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt"> Respond to questions related to billing and resolve requests from residents and/or responsible parties and work to resolve issues and concerns with other Team Members as needed.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Remain up to date with Company, Federal and State billing guidelines.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Perform other financial related duties as assigned.</li></ul>Payroll Management Functions (10%)<ul><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Keep employee records up to date by processing employee status changes, promotions, transfers, terminations, wage increases, and new hires in a timely fashion within the HRIS system.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Maintain payroll data while ensuring departments are submitting & approving Team Member timesheets within acceptable deadlines.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Review timecards after manager approval, verifying available hours, calculating miscellaneous pay, entering deductions.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Set up new Team Members in the Time and Attendance system.</li></ul>Knowledge and Critical Skills<ul><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Deal tactfully with personnel, prospects, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public. </li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Communicate effectively in a manner that is sufficient for supervisors, team members, prospects, residents, and families.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Must be able to speak, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, team members, residents, and families.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri';font-size:10pt">Knowledge/proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) billing systems.</li></ul>Education and Experience<ul><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">High school diploma or general equivalency is required.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">1 - 3 years’ experience working within an office environment.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Prior experience in human resources leadership in healthcare setting is preferred.</li><li style="font-family:'calibri'">Knowledge of basic generally accepted accounting principles.</li></ul>Supervisory Meet with prospective residents/guardians and obtaining required information and signatures on all required releases, insurance pre-authorizations, identification records, authorizations, and admission agreements, etc. Utilize CRM, Point Click Care, to maintain a current listing of all residents, their level of care, and assigned room numbers.

Essential Job Functions: <ul><li>Accept, assess and process patient referral information from acute care systems and case managers, to facilitate admission. Goal is to meet or exceed budgeted daily census for the health and rehabilitation community. </li><li>Meet with prospective residents/guardians and obtaining required information and signatures on all required releases, insurance pre-authorizations, identification records, authorizations, and admission agreements, etc. </li><li>Assist in the orientation program, Happy You're Here, of admitted residents. Explain to the resident, and/or guardian, room rates, billing procedures, visitors/guest privileges, restrictions, resident care procedures, etc., as appropriate. </li><li>Utilize CRM, Point Click Care, to maintain a current listing of all residents, their level of care, and assigned room numbers. </li><li>Work with regional corporate support on marketing plans and weekly admissions reports to track success. </li><li>Occasional outreach to local acute care systems and case managers may be required. </li><li> Perform other job-related duties as assigned. </li></ul>Knowledge and Critical Skills: <ul><li> Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions. </li><li>Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public. </li><li>Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility. </li><li>Communicate effectively in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication with supervisors, team members, prospects, residents, and families. </li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position. </li><li>Minimum one (1) year experience in senior housing or health care. </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license and operable vehicle. </li><li>Knowledgeable of laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to senior housing and assisted living. </li><li>Knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, Outlook) preferred. </li></ul>Supervisory Responsibility <ul><li>This position does not have direct reports or supervisory requirements. </li></ul>Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Tasks assigned to this position may involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, air contaminants, and hazardous chemicals.
