Who you are** **Qualifications & Experience** + Advanced Clinical/Science Degree required (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MSN, MPH, MD, DO, PA, ANP); BSN with extensive clinical experience may be considered + 7+ years of related work experience (clinical, managed care, or industry experience) + 2+ years of experience directly and indirectly leading teams + Outstanding healthcare landscape knowledge, therapeutic area expertise and business acumen required; knows the industry, Genentech's business model and value proposition, product and safety profiles, key competitors and other marketplace factors/dynamics + Strong communication and effective collaboration skills to work across a matrixed organization (e.g., ecosystem teams, Squad, Medical Network, PEAS partners, Field partners, Global partners, etc.) with consistent track record of influencing senior leadership without direct authority + Strong financial acumen: capable of driving and managing larger-scale budget responsibilities **Preferred Experience** + Prior experience as a field medical science liaison, with evidence of strong customer engagement skills + In-depth knowledge of Phase IV/post-marketing drug development **Location and Travel Requirements** Role is field-based. **The Opportunity** The Regional Medical Science Liaison Director (RMD) is responsible for delivering a valued medical-scientific customer experience by leading and inspiring a large therapeutic area (TA) regional MSL team to enhance patient outcomes through effective engagement and safe product use.
