Advanced duties and responsibilities: Demonstrate knowledge of basic/intermediate mechanical, diesel, and electrical including working knowledge and recognition of parts in order to communicate various locomotive and engine components; Must be able to perform all supporting functions within engine, locomotive, cores, cage and shipping & receiving; Provide initial engine assembly with all parts needed to conduct remanufacture on different versions of the 645 and 710 engines; Pull and accurately document material for production (kits, mod material and order request) and deliver to the proper workstation on time. Preferred Skills: 1-2 years of material handling experience; Basic PC knowledge for data entry; Self-starter, work with little or no supervision, work in a fast-paced environment, adjust to quick changing requirements and prioritize consistently, accurately, and safely; Forklift, pallet jack, mobile equipment and/or crane experience; Problem solving ability and ability to apply reasoning and common sense for appropriate resolutions.
