Senior Staff Accountant Gables Search GroupSenior Staff AccountantChampaign, ILWhat You'll Be Doing • Own key areas of the monthly close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, financial analysis, and reporting • Help ensure accurate and timely financial statements and month-end reporting • Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning activities • Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital project accounting • Partner with operations, maintenance, and other departments to support business objectives • Assist with annual audits and tax-related requests • Contribute ideas to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency What We're Looking For • CPA (or able to sit for exam within 6-12 months) • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Experience in manufacturing, industrial distribution, or public accounting serving manufacturing/distribution clients • Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems • Desire to continue growing professionally and advance within an organization Permanent US work authorization required Location or Relocation to: Central Illinois - 2 hours South of Chicago .
