Essential Functions: • Facilitates an exceptional patient care experience by ensuring and assisting patient flow within the office, attending to needs of patients, their families and medical staff • Prepares patient for physician visit: obtains and documents appropriate vital signs and health history information in Electronic Health Record (Allscripts) • Clinical duties may include: Checks vital signs, Give injections (including immunizations), Medication administration, breathing treatments, dressings, vision/hearing testing, suture removal, patient education and assisting physician with procedures, Distributes/educates regarding home spacers and nebulizers • Documents, records, and reports necessary patient information • Laboratory testing may include: Specimen collection (including finger sticks/venipuncture), documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting and telephone and walk-in triage • Assist patients with any paperwork necessary for the visit • Assists with follow up calls to families regarding visits/procedures • Checks and maintains Crash Cart chart • Provides excellent, clear documentation in every area of the office. Certifications: • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required) • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required).
