Our company is experiencing rapid growth, and we need a highly skilled hands-on Maintenance Engineer with self-starter attitude commitment to quality and efficiency responsible for performing general maintenance and commercial kitchen equipment repair for Travel Plazas in PA, supporting 4 sites ensuring the Plaza’s equipment is operating and being maintained cost-effectively. Ability to assess and do basic repairs to damaged wood cabinets, furniture, fixtures, laminates and counter tops, building façade and fascia, Ability to assess and do basic painting repairs which includes cleaning, sanding, and patching holes and imperfections.

This is a full-time position and reports to the Facilities Manager.What You’ll Do<ul><li>Inspect, diagnose and perform repairs and maintenance on all food service equipment.</li><li>Maintain small appliances, kitchen equipment, and minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.</li><li>Ensure that all equipment is in safe operating condition.</li><li>Coordinate repairs within approved budgetary guidelines.</li><li>Maintain preventative maintenance schedule and records.</li><li>Travel to various Travel Plazas in PA located in 4 sites to repair and maintain all facility-related items.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with commercial kitchen equipment repair and maintenance:</li><li>Strong working knowledge of hot-side (grills, ovens, fryers, Microwaves) and cold-side (refrigeration, freezers, prep tables)</li><li>Beverage-side( Coffee brewers, espresso, coffee grinders) and related appliance.</li><li>Must be familiar with commercial electrical and gas systems (single Phase 120, 208 & 3 phase 208.480 voltages)</li><li>Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and service manuals.</li><li>Proficient with basic hand tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.</li><li>Plumbing - Ability to diagnose plumbing issues accurately and determine effective solutions with understanding of plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, fittings and appliances. e.g. (commercial automatic flush valves and faucets, kitchen faucets and sprayers, hot water heaters, water filters and softener systems)</li><li>Carpentry, Paint, Tile, and Doors:</li><li>Ability to assess and do basic repairs to damaged wood cabinets, furniture, fixtures, laminates and counter tops, building façade and fascia,</li><li>Ability to assess and do basic painting repairs which includes cleaning, sanding, and patching holes and imperfections. Floor and wall tile.
