DEPARTMENT SCOPE OF SERVICE: The Plant Services Department is responsible for the maintenance and operational functions including, but not limited to, safety, and fire prevention/protection, hazardous waste disposal, equipment management, loss prevention management, grounds maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and power plant systems (boiler) for the 61-bed hospital; 15 acres of grounds, 12 houses and 1 truck, 1 van and 1 tractor. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Performs various duties involving painting, minor repairs walls, equipment, furniture, etc. and maintenance surveillance rounds throughout the hospital - Records gauge readings, observes general operating conditions etc., of boilers and auxiliary equipment, kitchen equipment, etc.
