Mars Horsecare- Utility Operator (2nd Shift)- Dalton, OH.
This role will rotate through departments and be trained to safely perform all key functions, including equipment setup and operation, changeovers, sanitation, basic troubleshooting, process adjustments, and preventive maintenance. Description of Role: The Utility Operator is responsible for learning and supporting production and warehouse departments throughout the facility, including receiving, mixing, processing, packaging, pre-mix, and shipping.
Perform preventative maintenance on belts, piping, filters, mixers, valves, bearings, motors, gear boxes, dies, extruders, feeders, rolls, drive chains, classifiers, mills, and mechanical seals and pumps. li>May perform sustained manual activities at moderate to heavy levels of exertion including lifting and moving loads of a minimum of fifty (50) pounds, climbing ladders/stairs, and working on elevated platforms. Driving continuous improvement in workplace safety by promptly addressing the root causes or near misses, conducting effective safety meetings, promptly addressing safety concerns raised by employees.
