We have a long tradition of excellence at Schebler, both in the products we sell and the services we provide.Our packagers are one of the keys to our success!Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ol><li>Prepare items for shipment to customers by putting items in boxes or pallets and banding.</li><li>Mark boxes of material with part numbers and job names.</li><li>Move materials and items to shipping or to other designated areas.</li><li>Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code in shipping and receiving area.</li><li>Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for employee or customer traffic.</li><li>Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.</li><li>Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching packing lists.</li><li>Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.</li><li>Keep an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ol>Qualifications and Requirements:Education: High school diploma or GEDExperience: 1-2 years of related experience preferred Necessary Skills:<ul><li>Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.</li><li>Computer knowledge as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge.</li><li>Customer focused.</li><li>Team oriented.</li></ul>Other Requirements:While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 75 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to a high noise level.
