General Summary:Primary execution leader for transportation operations servicing the Dollar General store and distribution network. Responsible for implementing carrier and service provider strategies, developing standardized processes and procedures to ensure on-time customer delivery and accuracy in reporting that will improve the financial and service performance of the transportation team. Manages transportation staff with direct responsibility for outsourced services, monitoring activity based costs and day-to-day transportation operations.

Qualifications:
Work Experience &/or Education:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required.</li><li>Degree in business administration, logistics or supply chain preferred.</li><li>Requires a minimum of 7 years of work experience, at least three of which must have been in the transportation industry.</li><li>An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.</li></ul>
