Perform cost accounting for wine production, tracking and allocating costs for estate grapes, bulk wine, barrel aging, bottling/finished goods and calculating variances and overhead; Support Controller with inventory accounting and reconciliations for vineyard fruit, cellar stock and case goods; Assist in the process of analyzing production costs, inventory reserves and variances; Under the leadership of the Controller, provide actionable reports to winemaking, vineyard and leadership teams; Support budgeting, forecasting, pricing decisions and excise tax filings (federal and state); Assist with audits, process improvements and special projects by gathering necessary financial data and documentation for auditors; Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, dynamic, family-oriented work environment. Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; Bachelor’s Degree, a plus; 3+ years of accounting experience; Experience with cost accounting within the wine industry, a plus; Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel; Experience with Vintrace and Commerce 7, a plus; Familiarity with TTB regulations, excise taxes and winery-specific practices, a plus; Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; Astute time management, attention to detail, accuracy, analytical, organizational, planning, multi-tasking, problem-solving and follow-through skills; Ability to work effectively alone, within a collaborative team environment.
