This leader owns results, including P&L performance, and drives safety, quality, delivery, and cost through data-informed decisions, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.</div><br/><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><br/><div><strong>Key Performance Indicators (KPI)<br/><br/>1.</strong><strong>Oyster Product Line & Farm Operations<br/> KPI: </strong>Farm P&Ls; Planting vs. Budget; Harvest Volumes vs. Budget; Yields; Mortality; Quality; Harvest‑to‑Spec.</div><div><strong>2.</strong><strong>Processing, Wet Storage, Quality & Compliance<br/> KPI: </strong>Processing P&Ls; Production Volumes; Yields; Cost per Unit; Quality/Credits; Order Fulfillment/OTIF.</div><div><strong>3.</strong><strong>Team Leadership, Development and Safety<br/> KPI:</strong> 100% completion of performance reviews and complete/update succession/training plans annually<br/><br/><strong>Primary Duties: <br/></strong><br/></div><div><strong>1: Oyster Product Line & Farm Operations:</strong></div><ul><li>Oversee planting, cultivation, and harvesting plans to meet volume, size, and quality specifications; supervise local teams to deliver operational results and continuous improvement.</li><li>Coordinate seed sourcing and handling; ensure healthy planting, nursery operations, and bed maintenance; maintain vessels, equipment, and permits in good working order.</li><li>Partner closely with processing to align harvest to specification and schedule; manage transportation and loading coordination to ensure uninterrupted production.</li></ul><div><strong>2: Processing, Wet Storage, Quality & Compliance:</strong></div><ul><li>Oversee relevant processing operations for oyster products; develop schedules and capacity requirements to achieve shipment goals.</li><li>Ensure accurate and timely production reporting, including weights and lot tracing; monitor wet storage output to maximize yield and quality.</li><li>Implement and audit HACCP, SSOP/SQF, and sanitation standards; meet on-time delivery, quality objectives, and shipment targets; resolve process challenges as they arise. </li></ul><div><strong>3: Team Leadership, Development and Safety:</strong></div><ul><li>Build and train a team of supervisors to carry out the goals and objectives of the operating group, fostering a culture of trust and high performance. </li><li>Ensure safety at each location, concentrating on training and safety awareness for all leaders and their teams. </li><li>Oversee and support team meetings with supervisors from each department to ensure alignment and effective communication. </li><li>Collaborate with Human Resources to implement policies that are fair and equitable, enhancing workplace culture and employee satisfaction. </li><li>Oversee comprehensive training programs through Pacific University, ensuring backup training for each department and adherence to company hiring and disciplinary procedures. </li></ul><div><strong>Supporting Duties:</strong> <br/><br/></div><div><strong>OpCo Management and Strategy:</strong></div><ul><li>Participate in weekly and period end financial reviews and strategy meetings. Review and analyze budget and financials, approving farming, cap ex, and accounts payable as needed. </li><li>Collaborate with operating group leadership on yield and process improvements to enhance production efficiency and product quality. Help drive sales growth.</li><li>Support management alignment through weekly meetings, collaborating on long-term R&D with the support office and sales team, and developing professional networks in the seafood industry. </li><li>Develop and foster a culture of continuous operational improvement, focusing on productivity, efficiency, yields, and expansion.</li><li>In conjunction with HR, ensure hiring, screening, onboarding, and orientation processes are observed at all locations in accordance with Pacific Seafood policy. </li><li>Additionally, work with regional recruiter and HR on turnover metrics, optimal staffing levels, and hiring opportunities to increase team efficiencies.</li></ul><div><em>Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.</em></div><br/><h3>What you bring to Pacific Seafood</h3><br/><div><strong>Required:</strong></div><ul><li>Demonstrated experience with shellfish farming and management.</li></ul><div><strong>Preferred:</strong></div><ul><li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.</li><li>Prior experience managing a team.</li><li>Experience as a boat operator.</li></ul><br/><h3>Benefits</h3><br/><div><strong>Total compensation:<br/></strong><br/></div><div>At Pacific Seafood your base wage is only a portion of your overall compensation package.
