Purchasing Specialist | $17 $22/hour | Hastings, NE | Full-Time We re hiring a Purchasing Specialist (Purchasing Agent) in Hastings, NE for a key role supporting production, engineering and warehouse operations. This position is essential in ensuring materials and supplies are sourced, ordered and delivered on time to keep operations running smoothly. Schedule: Monday Friday | 7: 00 AM 3: 30 PM What You ll Do: <ul><li> Source and purchase materials from approved vendors based on production demand </li><li> Work closely with Engineering to procure items from bills of materials </li><li> Coordinate with warehouse teams to maintain accurate stock levels </li><li> Initiate and support cycle counts and inventory verification processes </li><li> Maintain minimum/maximum inventory levels for key stock items </li><li> Assist Accounts Payable with invoice questions and discrepancies </li><li> Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, lead times and order details </li><li> Negotiate terms, pricing and shipping arrangements when needed </li><li> Track and maintain accurate records for purchases, vendors and inventory </li><li> Collaborate with production leadership to prevent delays and shortages </li></ul> What You Bring: <ul><li> 3+ years of manufacturing or related industry experience preferred </li><li> Strong communication and organizational skills </li><li> Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment </li><li> Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email) </li><li> SAP Business One or QuickBooks experience is a plus </li><li> Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills </li><li> Ability to work effectively with all departments and leadership levels </li><li> Experience with inventory, procurement or production processes preferred </li></ul> What You ll Need to Succeed: <ul><li> Strong attention to detail and record keeping </li><li> Ability to plan ahead and manage vendor relationships </li><li> Confidence working with deadlines and changing production needs </li><li> Ability to interpret data and support purchasing decisions </li><li> Strong teamwork and communication across departments </li></ul> Pay & Benefits: <ul><li> $17.00 $22.00/hour depending on experience </li><li> Full benefits package available including paid single health insurance after probation period </li></ul> If you re organized, detail-oriented and ready to play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, apply today! #gethiredhastings
