As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Assistant to support our accounting team.Position OverviewThe Accounts Payable Assistant will play a key role in managing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate entry into the accounting system</li><li>Perform three-way matching (Purchase Order Receipt Invoice)</li><li>Prepare and process payments, including checks and electronic payments</li><li>Maintain vendor records and assist with 1099 vendor setup and tracking</li><li>Review vendor statements and resolve discrepancies</li><li>Assist with accounts payable reporting, including AP aging and vendor summaries</li><li>Ensure proper expense coding and cost allocation</li><li>Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues or missing documentation</li><li>Maintain organized documentation and support accounting records</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>3–5+ years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience</li><li>Experience with QuickBooks (QuickBooks Enterprise preferred)</li><li>Strong knowledge of Vendor Center, Bills, Bill Payments, Credits, and Purchase Orders</li><li>Experience with invoice processing and check preparation</li><li>Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines</li><li>Reliable and able to work independently</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience working in construction, landscaping, or a related industry</li><li>Experience in multi-user accounting environments</li><li>Familiarity with custom reporting and AP aging reports</li><li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus</li></ul>Skills & Attributes<ul><li>Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy</li><li>Ability to identify duplicate invoices or incorrect charges</li><li>Process-driven mindset with strong documentation practices</li><li>Strong vendor communication and relationship management skills</li><li>Problem-solving ability to resolve discrepancies in invoices, receipts, or purchase orders</li><li>Fast learner with a proactive work ethic</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive salary</li><li>Stable, growing company</li><li>Supportive team environment</li><li>Opportunity to grow with the company</li></ul>Company: La Copa Ventures Location: Hutto, TXJob Type: Full-TimePay: $17–$19 per hour
