Job Knowledge: Understand the purpose and operations of public transportation systems, Federal Transit Code, related safety procedures, ordinances, regulations, and traffic laws; understanding of modern business management principles and practices; knowledge of public transit funding, record keeping, and general budget practices; knowledge of technology for Transit Systems; knowledge and understanding of current personnel management practices; knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources; knowledge of labor relations principles and practices in order to assist with union contract negotiations and contract administration; general knowledge of bus mechanical maintenance and related maintenance methods and techniques.
