<p style="font-weight:400">The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the company’s financial obligations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This role supports the accounting department by maintaining vendor relationships, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting regulations. This position also performs month‑end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, and leads on-site cost accounting process improvements across functions.</p><p>Partner with plant and corporate teams to improve cost visibility, review/close production jobs daily, and ensure accurate job and inventory costing.</p><p>• Analyze variances, job profitability, and manufacturing performance, collaborating with Production to identify root causes and drive improvements.
• Support cost rolls, BOM analysis, standard cost updates, and investigate cost issues with Production, Engineering, and Purchasing.
• Strengthen financial processes, track manufacturing variances, and support accurate reporting across the business.
• Perform month‑end close activities, including journal entries, overhead analysis, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead on‑site cost accounting process improvements and cross‑functional projects to enhance operational efficiency and product costing.</p><p>What We're Looking For</p><p>Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field.</p><p>• 3 years of hands-on accounting experience in a manufacturing or product-based company.

• Experience preparing or interpreting trial balances and financial statements.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
