Salon Manager - BTCAt JCPenney Salon, our leaders are dedicated to guiding their teams to success by developing their stylists and delivering an exceptional client experience every day. As a behind the chair salon manager, you may work up to 8 – 16 hours per week behind the chair (depending on salon volume) with your own clientele, alongside your team. Primary Responsibilities:•    Client Experience o    Leads by example in all interactions with clients, and supports stylists to ensure they can provide an exceptional client experience o    Creates an environment that inspires associates to build client loyalty by providing coaching and feedback to ensure consistent execution of the o    Motivates and engages the team to provide exceptional service through consistent communication, coaching and recognition o    Provides services including but not limited to cut/style, chemical services for all hair types, and performs other hair styling services as required to meet or exceed the client’s expectations in a positive, professional manner •    Team Development o    Proactively recruits qualified stylists to join team through the use of Social Media, targeted Recruiting Websites, Referrals and engaging Stylists at local Salons and Cosmetology Schools o    Provides coaching and feedback that is frequent, balanced, meaningful and improves effectiveness o    Creates opportunities for learning that drive associate success throughout their career o    Ensures stylists complete available training by scheduling Associates for Core and Artistic Education as courses are offered internally o    Inspires loyalty, passion, and growth in the salon by creating an environment that is inclusive, respectful, professional and fun •    Business Performance o    Reviews reports to quickly identify and prioritize areas of opportunity in the salon, determines root cause of the opportunity, and sets direction to achieve productivity – referral – rebooking – return rate and client acquisition standards o    Delivers Salary Cost objectives to achieve profit plan •    Merchandising o    Reviews SET guidance and makes appropriate adjustments based on salon layout while maintaining core standards in Salon o    Actively walks the salon and backbar to identify opportunities related to merchandising, replenishment, and recovery o    Handles or directs salon team to address product related issues that have biggest impact to the client o    Manages backbar expenses to plan •    Performance Standards / Programs o    Consistently meets established performance standards for the role, including (but not limited to) product and service sales, client experience, productivity, and attendance o    Reviews and follows all company programs (including but not limited to) hiring practices and state safety regulations, and accurately advises salon associates on how to address any related issues •    Cosmetology License o    A current cosmetology license is required in the state you are applying. What you get:In addition to a competitive wage, this position offers 50% commission on service sales behind the chair and 10% commission on retail sold with a service.Eligible for bonus under the Management Incentive Plan.If eligible, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, term life insurance, paid vacation/holidays*, and 401(k) with Company match.  All associates are eligible for an associate discount on JCPenney merchandise.  For paid holidays, associates who are eligible for paid vacation (MTO) are also eligible for eight paid holidays during the calendar year.  All store hourly associates scheduled to work on a designated holiday will receive additional compensation. *For paid vacation days, as well as eligibility requirements for other benefits, please visit http://www.catalystbrandsbenefits.com. Pay Range:
USD $15.48 - USD $22.12 /Hr.

Overview:

Supervise and perform all functions related to sales related assets. After training, Bench Department Managers are expected to fill a Department Manager role within 30 miles of their home. If no position is open, they will remain in their bench role until one becomes available.

Responsibilities:
1. Observe, evaluate, and coach hosts to deliver friendly, superior guest service which focuses on show.2. Maintain measurement plans and reports to evaluate host, financial and operational effectiveness.3. Conduct training needs assessments to identify performance gaps and provide necessary coaching and feedback.4. Deliver on-the-job training (OJT) programs and materials.5. Drive measurement based continuous improvement of OJT.6. Select, train and develop Guest Service Leaders.7. Assess the Friendliness and Show aspects of each department, identifying performance gaps and other training needs. Provide feedback and partner with the store management team to deliver solutions.8. Manage training activities (OJT, online, etc.) and assess the support needed to drive organizational effectiveness. Provide feedback and partner with the store management team to deliver solutions.9. Manage the hiring processes including sourcing and candidate management. Work with the store management team to ensure interviewing, onboarding and training processes follow established guidelines.10. Complete, review, and maintain all training documentation including OJT, new hire and performance documentation.11. Works with Store Manager/Director to ensure that a schedule is written to provide the desired level of guest service within established labor guides.12. Process guest orders, including performing functions of cashiers or guest service clerks.13. Perform guest service desk functions as needed.14. Ensure that an accurate daily cash count is completed.15. Ensure bank deposits are completed daily according to policy.16. Monitor and analyze audits according to company guidelines.17. Monitor and enforce all Front Porch policies related to Asset Protection and Shrink Control.18. Ensure the security of the office and store funds.19. Maintain supplies needed for Front Porch according to budget.

Qualifications:

To supervise and ensure that every guest receives the fastest and most pleasant checkout experience possible through consistent execution of Lowes Foods’ Guest Service Standards and Policies.

Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance of Guest Service Standardsa. Ensures that the front end standards detailed in the No Noticeable Wait Policy are met at all times.b. Manages guest traffic flow from both the guest side and bagging side of the register using this positioning as an opportunity to interact with guests and monitor productivity.c. Works with the Store Manager and Guest Service Manager to ensure that the schedule is written to provide the desired level of service within the established labor guides.d. Trains cashiers to call additional hosts to the front end as dictated by guest needs and established daily call-up list.e. Handles guests and hosts requests, refunds, overrides, and check approvals promptly, and professionally.f. Ensures front end is clean, neat, and clutter free at all times and that the parking lot is free of debris and excessive carts.g. Is a positive role model for all front end hosts in speech, manner, dress, hygiene, and integrity.h. Ensures all unused check lanes are blocked off when not is use.i. Monitors and enforces all other front end policies related to Asset Protection and Shrink Control.2. Training and Development of Front End Hostsa. Provides training and direction to hosts not meeting the front end standards.b. Communicates to the guest service manager, problem areas and hosts not meeting performance standards.c. Provides constant on-the-job feedback to front end hosts about performance to maintain front end service level.3. Process guest orders (including performing as a cashier or guest service clerk).4. Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
