The role of the Clinical Veterinary Assistant is to provide treatments and medication administration, assist with diagnostic procedures involving all imaging modalities, operating room support and case circulation, laboratory and pathology testing, necropsy support, dispensary support, and anesthesia recovery support. The university has a significant presence across Virginia, including Blacksburg, the greater Washington, D.C. area, the Health Sciences and Technology Campus in Roanoke, sites in Newport News and Richmond, and numerous Extension offices and research institutes.
