<p/><div><h1><strong>Position Summary</strong></h1><p>We are supporting a wonderful client in Downtown Sacramento with a Temporary HR Specialist - Leave Administration. This role is responsible for managing and administering employee leave programs in compliance with federal, state, and company policies. This role ensures accurate tracking, clear communication, and a positive employee experience related to all types of leave, including medical, family, and disability leaves.</p><p>100% On-site | Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm </p><p>Temporary: 90 days+ </p><p>Pay Rate: $30-40/hr</p><hr/><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><ul><li>Administer and manage employee leave programs, including but not limited to:
<ul><li>Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)</li><li>State-specific leave laws (e.g., CFRA, Paid Family Leave)</li><li>Short-term and long-term disability</li><li>Military leave and personal leaves of absence</li></ul></li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave inquiries and processes</li><li>Evaluate leave requests for eligibility and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies</li><li>Coordinate with payroll, and benefits vendors to ensure seamless leave processing</li><li>Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee leave records in HRIS systems</li><li>Track leave usage, balances, and return-to-work dates</li><li>Communicate leave approvals, denials, and required documentation to employees in a timely and empathetic manner</li><li>Ensure proper documentation is collected, reviewed, and securely maintained</li><li>Partner with HR Business Partners and managers to support employee transitions, accommodations, and return-to-work plans</li><li>Monitor changes in leave laws and regulations; recommend and implement policy updates as needed</li><li>Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on leave policies and procedures</li><li>Generate reports and analyze leave trends to support workforce planning and compliance</li></ul><hr/><h2><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li><li>2-5 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on leave administration</li><li>Solid knowledge of federal and state leave laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, state leave programs)</li><li>Experience working with HRIS systems and case management tools</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive, confidential information</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong problem-solving and organizational skills</li></ul><hr/><h2><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h2><ul><li>Experience with leave administration</li><li>HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP)</li><li>Experience working with third-party leave administrators</li></ul></div><p/><p><em>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
