The job of Facilities & Construction Maintenance Technician II is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for maintaining facilities in safe operating condition; addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns; assisting Maintenance Technicians III''s and IV''s in various general maintenance assignments: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, welding, locksmith, HVAC and generator preventative maintenance, grounds keeping, etc. and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job site. The usual and customary methods of performing the job''s functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, frequent climbing and balancing, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity.
