Under general direction, plans, organizes, oversees, coordinates, and manages the staff and operations of the Engineering division, including the planning, permitting, review, design, and/or construction of capital improvement projects, public works infrastructure, traffic and transportation systems, or private land development projects; participates in the development of policies and strategies for division operations; manages the effective use of division resources to improve organizational productivity and customer service; provides complex and responsible support to the management in areas of expertise; and performs related duties as assigned. Reporting to the Public Works Director, this position leads a division of nine staff, supported by consultants providing additional project delivery capacity and specialized expertise and plays an important role in advancing the City's five-year Capital Improvement Program, which includes 87 projects spanning transportation, mobility, public facilities, drainage, and other major community investments.
