We are hiring an Admission Clerk for our growing team!  The Admissions Clerk will primarily be responsible for:  Key Responsibilities:<ul><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Initial contact person for person served/client upon arrival for intake. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Creates an environment of hospitality for new persons served/clients. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Completes EMR intake documents with person served/client signature. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Schedules initial nursing assessment for person served/client. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Schedules initial counseling session for person served/client. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Helps with the handling of persons served/client belongings upon arrival. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Work directly with the intake department to help determine which programs and services will best fit the needs of the client. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Performs Peer Support individual sessions with clients upon intake. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Maintain good relationships with intake staff, administrative personnel, and external professional groups and agencies.  </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Participate in staff and state regulatory training as required. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">The Admission Clerk is expected to protect the privacy of all persons served/client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general  principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Other Duties as assigned. </li></ul>Key Experience and Education Needed:<ul><li style="margin-bottom:11px">High School Diploma or GED </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Healthcare and Substance abuse experience preferred. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Appropriate State and Federal Clearances </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Peer Support Certified</li></ul>Other Qualifications to be Considered:<ul><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and recovery driven service system. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Knowledge in Insurance Regulations. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence and positive cultural identity. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Knowledge of the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact of alcohol and other drugs on the individual and family  </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Computer literate with experience in a Windows and EMR environment </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Ability to prioritize work- and work-related responsibilities. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Ability to read detailed health records. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Ability to operate computer and other equipment in the office. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Must have sufficient mobility to move around the office and the community. </li></ul><div style="margin-bottom:11px">ARC full-time employees enjoy very attractive benefits packages for employees and their families to include health, dental, vision, life insurance, a wide array of ancillary insurance products for life’s needs, 401(k) plan with company matching and to ensure the work-life balance - generous paid vacation, sick, holiday and maternity/paternity leave policies.</div><div style="list-style-type:disc">Come join ARC and transform lives anchored in strong family relationships, social responsibility, and meaningful career paths by empowering our nationally recognized crisis to career model!  </div><div style="list-style-type:disc;text-align:center">Addiction Recovery Care, LLC and its affiliated entities are an equal opportunity employer.
