<p>Job Description</p><p>We are seeking a Quality Systems Manager to join our federal team at our York, PA plantlocation. (Considering both Mid-Level and Senior level candidates.) <br/>Benefits: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment <br/> Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (6.5 weeks in total) <br/><br/></p><p> As a Quality Systems Manager, you will:<br/><br/></p><ul><li>Ensure that the JCNS Organization's Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.</li><li>Leads the effort to update, modernize and implement digital solutions for QMS related systems, procedures and transactions throughout the business.</li><li>Develops and maintains key performance metrics and dashboard relative to the performance of the quality system.</li><li>Reports on the performance of the QMS, including the need for improvement to senior management on a regular basis.</li><li>Leads and provides QMS training as required.</li><li>Manages and maintains required inspector and QMS related training requirements and records.</li><li>Manages the document and change control system.</li><li>Manages the non-conforming material system for internal and supplier discrepancies.</li><li>Assists with development and release of procedures and standard work.</li><li>Manages the corrective and preventative action system and performance.</li><li>Manages and maintains records retention requirements and storage of records.</li><li>Leads and manages the internal audit and layered process audit programs.</li><li>Organizes and serves as the lead for customer, regulatory / third party accreditation audits.</li><li>Reviews and approves engineering, product and process documentation and test results for completeness and compliance to requirements.</li><li>Prepares required notifications and technical submittals to customers and internal contract program teams.</li><li>Manages source inspection scheduling and coordination.</li><li>Maintains the current status of approved suppliers accreditation status and performance.</li><li>Manages and maintains the supplier survey process.</li><li>Ensures the flow down of all applicable quality system and customer requirements to suppliers.</li><li>Identifies and maintains the latest up-to-date requirements and changes in customer requirements, standards, and regulations/laws relative to quality management system and outgoing product quality requirements.</li><li>Leads and participates on continuous improvement teams to reduce the cost of poor quality (COPQ), first pass yields, increase product flow / throughput and achieve on-time delivery performance.</li><li> Supports COPQ metrics and analysis for CI teams. Generates various reporting metrics for scrap and rework, and first pass yield. <br/><br/></li></ul><p> Required Qualifications:<br/><br/></p><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Metallurgy) or related discipline preferred. </li><li>3 or more years of manufacturing experience in heavy industrial, automotive, aerospace, or metal machining, welding and fabrication.</li><li>Strong QMS knowledge and experience with ISO 9000, TS 16949, or AS 9100.</li><li>Lead ISO 9001 auditor with strong customer and regulatory audit experience preferred.</li><li>Proficient in personal computer capabilities in MS Office software, Minitab or other quality data analysis tools.</li><li>Demonstrated problem solving, process capability, data analysis, measurement systems analysis, GD&T, and blueprint reading skills.</li><li>Strong planning, organizing, and proven leadership / team building skills.</li><li>Knowledge of Non -destructive inspection methods and applications preferred such as MT/PT/VT/ET/UT.</li><li>Formal Lean and / or 6-Sigma training with significant demonstrated accomplishments.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to organize, facilitate and lead product quality, process and system improvement teams.</li></ul><p>Who We Are<br/>The primary mission of Johnson Controls Navy Systems is to supply Chilled Water Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Systems and associated equipment to the US Navy and US Coast Guard.
