This role is critical in ensuring a safe and supportive athletic environment. This is a part-time,  10-month position generally providing coverage on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:30 p.m. through 5:30 p.m.   Additional weekend and after-school hours may be required, particularly on game days.  <div><table style="border:none;border-collapse:collapse"><colgroup><col/></colgroup><tbody><tr><td style="vertical-align:top;background-color:#274e13;padding:7px 7px 7px 7px;width:624px">Responsibilities</td></tr></tbody></table></div><ul><li style="list-style-type:disc">Assess, treat, and manage athletic injuries and conditions. Develop and implement injury prevention programs.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Establish, communicate, and implement protocols to assist with preventing and rehabilitating student athletes’ injuries.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Act as the primary resource to conduct initial on-site assessment and treatment of student athletes’ injuries or illnesses. </li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Provide immediate care and first aid in case of sports-related injuries or emergencies.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Determine if a student requires a referral for emergency or continued care or a definitive diagnosis and treatment by the School’s Health Office or physician. </li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Communicate instances of student injuries to the Director of Athletics, the Health Office, and appropriate school administrators. </li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Submit student injury reports in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining clear communication with coaches, parents, school nurses, and healthcare providers as needed.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Evaluate students’ readiness to play following an injury and report the progress of recovering athletes to coaches, the Health Office, and the school’s physician as appropriate. </li><li style="list-style-type:disc"> Work with coaches, parents, and medical professionals to coordinate care and develop comprehensive treatment plans.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Assist with the proper use and maintenance of athletic equipment and supplies.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.</li><li style="list-style-type:disc">Educate athletes on injury prevention, nutrition, and overall wellness.
