<div>CNC MACHINIST – AFTERNOON SHIFT HQ Aero is currently recruiting for a CNC MACHINIST  in WHEELING, WV Job Summary: This position will be responsible for the operation of a variety of CNC machine tools. This includes setting up and verifying tooling and setting part offsets. Job Responsibilities<ul><li>Knowledgeable in the use and application of precision measuring instruments. This would include calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and scales. </li><li>Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.</li><li>Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, inserts, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.</li><li>Responsible for loading parts, proving out programs, operating controls, setting offsets, simple program edits, and initial inspection of parts to ensure it meets tolerances.</li><li>Communicate with management, production control, quality, and other team members for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment, to like new appearance, according to maintenance plans and established procedures. </li><li>May perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> Qualifications<ul><li>Must be at least 18 years of age. </li><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.</li><li>Criminal Background Check & Compliant to FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks are mandatory.</li><li>Ability to operate a variety of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and scales.</li><li>Minimum of two years of experience working on the set-up of 5-axis machines, such as Hass or Fanuc preferred.</li><li>Working knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used to operate various machines. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as blueprints, safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies, and procedures. </li><li>Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts.</li><li>Capable of recognizing and solving typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established options.</li><li>Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Able to work with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Able to identify areas of low efficiency and work to provide improvements.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.</li><li>Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time</li><li>Must be able to work as scheduled and arrive to the worksite promptly to receive work assignment. </li><li>Must be available to work overtime and weekends as business requires. </li></ul>DISCLAIMER This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected by the successful applicant.
