Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and clinical techniques with scope of practice such as basic CPR, vital signs, visual acuity, electrocardiogram, wound care including suture set-up, orthopedic splinting, Point of Care testing, assisting with eye and ear irrigation, blood glucose checks and throat swab specimen collection and responding appropriately to emergency situations. Atlantic Health scored four "A" grades by The Leapfrog Group in its Fall 2025 Hospital Safety Grades, performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and injections, as well as systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.
