Distinguishing Characteristics: This class differs from the Real Property Appraiser II in that it performs under immediate supervision as an entry-level trainee and receives initial orientation and training in the principles, theories, methods, and techniques of appraising real property; whereas the Real Property Appraiser II performs as an advanced trainee requiring some application of the principles, theories, methods, and techniques of appraising real property. Under immediate supervision, receives initial orientation and training in conducting appraisals of real property; and performs other related duties as required.
