This position will provide support for recruiting, related instruction curricula, on-the-job Learning (OJL) and establishing and maintaining close relationships with public and private institutions to hire top talent for the company. Develop, and refine, the Project Management Trainee full-time entry-level program for early career professional development, and suggest other areas of the workforce for early career development programs.

This position reports to the Director, Human Resources to implement, maintain and sustain early talent recruiting and programs for the northern PPC companies. This position will provide support for recruiting, related instruction curricula, on-the-job Learning (OJL) and establishing and maintaining close relationships with public and private institutions to hire top talent for the company. Conduct business in accordance with PPC and Pieper Electric, Inc. mission and vision statements.Day to Day Operations:<ul><li>Develop relationships with the IBEW Local Business Agents and JATC offices to partner with these individuals on behalf of Pieper Electric.</li><li>Receive calls from the public inquiring about working in a union position and how to apply to the various unions and positions.</li><li>Identify coursework and related instruction that can be brought in-house to be utilized as CEU opportunities for the field workforce on a regular basis</li><li>Identify and apply for state/local grants that may be applicable to the businesses</li><li>Visit talent source locations, creating and maintaining relationships, and participating in career fairs at high schools, technical colleges, universities and colleges.</li><li>Assist with Project Management Trainees, Intern recruitment and other technical positions needed at branch level.</li><li>Develop and maintain an intern program that drives early talent growth and development year over year to create a pipeline for early career professional talent.</li><li>Develop, and refine, the Project Management Trainee full-time entry-level program for early career professional development, and suggest other areas of the workforce for early career development programs</li><li>Work closely with hiring managers to help forecast intern and other early career needs and determine the proper related instruction.</li><li>Work with schools, non-profits to promote careers in construction and help develop talent pipelines.</li><li>Attend trade association and advisory board meetings; participate in skills challenge events.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>This position requires a focused professional with a great attention to detail.</li><li>Must have a desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately.</li><li>Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, or similar discipline preferred, Associate's Degree required</li><li>1-3 years of experience in early career recruiting, apprenticeship administration, and construction industry preferred.</li><li>Highly customer-service oriented & team player; ability to create strong relationships with all clients/customers.</li><li>Valid driver's license and insured personal transportation is also required.</li><li>Positive safety attitude and high personal integrity.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.</li><li>Knowledge of recruiting and organizational development techniques preferred.</li></ul>Pieper Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Make adjustments to the building automation system to ensure guest comfort and efficient operation of mechanical equipment.</li><li>Perform HVAC preventive maintenance, including inspections, adjustments, replacement of filters, cleaning of coils, and lubrication of units.</li><li>Respond to and complete maintenance and repair requests in a timely, safe, and accurate manner while ensuring high levels of guest service and minimal interruption to business operations.</li><li>Ensure maintenance tools are in proper working condition and operate equipment safely. Report any unsafe conditions to management.</li><li>Ensure adherence with all Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) requirements, as well as the companys safety policies, and procedures.</li><li>Order, receive, stock, and maintain the HVAC parts inventory.</li><li>Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and storage area.</li><li>Respond to emergency calls after-hours for HVAC systems on a rotating on call schedule.</li><li>Provide assistance to other facilities technicians with servicing and repair of all including but not limited to ice makers, walk-in coolers, freezers, refrigerators, and other related equipment.</li><li>Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Job Qualifications<ul><li>A high school diploma or equivalent, 5 years of HVAC experience, and formal training or completion of an apprenticeship in HVAC and Refrigeration trades is required.</li><li>Completed degree from an accredited institution that is above the minimum education requirement can be substituted for experience requirement on a year for year basis.</li><li>Experience with building automation systems is required, preferably Schnieder EcoStruxure, and/or Trane Tracer Summit systems.</li><li>Experience with HVAC devices such as variable air volume boxes, air and water-cooled chillers and related systems is required.</li><li>Experience in Energy Wheel Recovery technology is preferred.</li><li>Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to the trade.</li><li>Must possess and maintain valid certification for handling refrigerants, preferably Universal Certification.</li><li>Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and general computer knowledge.</li><li>The ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.</li><li>The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.</li><li>The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.</li><li>The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.</li></ul>Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift.
