Training will be provided.Work as an HVAC mechanic in Facilities Services at the University of Florida (UF). Mentor and support all levels of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) technicians in the installation, maintenance, repair, replacement, and preventative maintenance of HVAC equipment, refrigeration equipment/systems, and cold rooms; perform the same independently. Repair or replace valves, piping, thermostats, dampers, grills, turning vanes, motors, belts, and controls (including pneumatic/electronics and other associated components). Balance HVAC systems, etc. May participate in the Facilities Services FaST Path Program.
