Compliance with California Code of Regulations: Positions in this class are required to comply with Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations, General Industry Safety Orders, Section 5144, Respiratory Protection (T-8 CCR, GISO, §5144), current County Policy regarding Respiratory Protective Equipment and any departmental policy and training regarding the proper use (clean shaven for proper tight fit of respirator), care and maintenance of respiratory protective equipment. Persons claiming eligibility for disabled veterans preference must submit to the employment office, on or before the application deadline date, a certification from the United States Veterans Administration or a military service department, dated within 1 year, which certifies the present existence of a service related disability of 10% or more, or other acceptable proof of such disability as a result of his/her military service.
