Hardware Systems Engineer – Functional Safety Architecture

We have a position for an automotive functional safety hardware systems engineer to assist with architecture updates for electronic hardware. What you will be doing:<ul><li>Working on part 5 - Hardware Design Elements of the ISO 26262 standard</li><li>Architecture updates for electronic hardware used in automotive powertrain applications where functional safety is required</li><li>Define architecture linkages between component and feature work where functional safety is required</li><li>Working with hardware architectural metrics – single-point, latent and probabilistic metrics</li><li>Define hardware element classification</li><li>Creating FEMA, FMEDA for safety element out of context</li><li>Updating functional safety procedures</li><li>Updating processes to be holistic</li><li>Generating functional safety documentation</li></ul>  
What you’ll get:<ul><li>Full benefits: medical, dental, 401K match</li><li>Ongoing professional development opportunities</li><li>Flexible Hybrid schedule</li><li>The opportunity to work on industry leading projects</li></ul>What you’ll need to be successful:<ul><li>Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering discipline</li><li>ISO 26262 certification is required</li><li>Automotive powertrain background – engine, EV components, turbo etc. must have functional safety experience with at least one powertrain component</li><li>Experience with Hardware Design Elements - part 5 of ISO 26262 is required</li><li>Systems level embedded controls understanding is highly desired</li><li>ISO 26262 design elements understanding</li><li>Experience with Medina is highly desired</li><li>Experience with engines is highly desired.</li><li>Self-starter</li><li>Organized</li><li>Collaborative</li><li>Productive in a hybrid work environment with team members in various geographic locations</li></ul>
