This role works with business areas across the company, such as underwriting, billing, claims, and finance, to understand what "quality" means for their data, translates those expectations into clear, prioritized data quality rule requirements, and manages the backlog of rules for the Data Quality Engineer to build in DQLabs. Quality is framed in terms of what it enables the business to do (i.e. price and launch new products, quote with confidence, report reliably) and includes the correlations between entities (e.g., submission to quote, quote to policy, one submission producing multiple policies), not just the accuracy of individual fields.
