We operate in a values-based culture and strive towards our behaviors in everything we do.<ul><li>Compensation: $32 /hr</li><li>Worksite Location: NCAT Campus (5:30pm - 9:30pm) Monday to Thursday</li></ul>Overview / Job Summary:The adjunct faculty member will provide instruction in the classroom in areas of expertise as assigned.  Instruction may include classroom lectures, facilitating group discussions and projects, and/or computer laboratory instruction at various College locations. Our Architecture-Mechanical Design program focuses on providing students with a solid foundation in mechanical design principles, architecture, and technical skills required for successful careers in the industry.Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Deliver high-quality lectures, workshops, and hands-on sessions to students, covering a wide range of topics in architectural and mechanical design. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation and critical thinking.</li><li>Conduct practical demonstrations and workshops to help students gain a comprehensive understanding of architectural and mechanical design principles, techniques, and tools.</li><li>Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, examinations, and other assessment methods. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and success.</li><li>Be accessible to students outside of class hours for academic advising, mentoring, and support. Assist students with their queries and guide them towards additional resources for further learning.</li><li>Continuously update your knowledge of advancements in architectural and mechanical design, as well as related software and technologies. Share this knowledge with students and colleagues, contributing to the overall improvement of the program.</li></ul>RequirementsEducation:<ul><li>Possess a minimum of a Technical Certificate in Architecture or Mechanical Design, or a closely related field. An Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree would be considered and highly beneficial.</li></ul>Preferred Experience & Skills:<ul><li>Have substantial professional experience (3-5 years) in architectural and/or mechanical design, with a track record of successful projects and achievements in the industry.</li><li>Prior teaching experience in higher education or professional training settings is highly desirable. Your JobKoch Engineered Solutions is seeking an IT Architect to bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities. This role provides technical leadership and consulting across the organization, from supporting strategic decision-making down to project planning. The IT Architect will be responsible for defining and executing on the technology visions and strategies, including developing related roadmaps. Strong business acumen and technology expertise are essential for facilitating effective communication, collaboration, and delivering technology solutions to KES businesses and other technology teams. What You Will Do <ul><li></li><li> As part of the infrastructure capability , be accountable for the evolution of current platforms and the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies </li><li></li><li> Partner closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand business strategies, challenges, and outcomes, and translate them into scalable, secure, and pragmatic infrastructure architectures. </li><li></li><li> Continuously evaluate emerging infrastructure technologies and industry trends, including cloud, networking, security, automation, and platform services, and lead the assessment, alignment, and adoption of capabilities that deliver business value. </li><li></li><li> Act as a thought partner to the business, helping determine when technologies should be incubated internally, adopted from partners, or deferred based on value, risk, and readiness. </li><li></li><li> Define, maintain , and evolve infrastructure standards, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with both near - term needs and long - term strategy. </li><li></li><li> Lead architecture alternatives analysis, clearly framing problems and opportunities, evaluating tradeoffs, and making recommendations grounded in business requirements, cost, risk, and operational impact. </li><li></li><li> Collaborate with application and platform teams to guide infrastructure design for on - premises, hybrid, virtualized, and cloud environments. </li><li></li><li> Develop and communicate clear architecture artifacts, including diagrams, reference models, design patterns, and decision records, to enable consistent execution across teams. </li><li></li><li> Establish and refine governance models, work processes, and operational runbooks that balance innovation with reliability, security, and operational excellence. </li><li></li><li> Serve as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues, while driving long - term solutions that reduce recurrence and improve system resilience. </li><li></li><li> Influence and align cross - functional teams and external partners without direct authority, using technical credibility and business context to drive outcomes. </li><li></li><li> Participate in architecture and technology advisory forums, advocating for customer and business needs and assessing the impact of proposed changes across the enterprise. </li><li></li></ul>Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)<ul><li></li><li> IT architecture or Senior Systems Engineering experience, including in hands-on design and implementation </li><li></li><li> Experience with multiple infrastructure technology pillars (endpoint, mobility, compute, storage, network, security, etc.) and their management tools </li><li></li><li> Experience conducting research, experimenting, and deploying emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products </li><li></li><li> Practical Experience with Cloud Architecture design (AWS or Azure) </li><li></li><li> Experience with Operational Technology (OT), manufacturing systems, and Plant/Process Control Networks (PCN) </li><li></li><li> Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at tailoring messages for technical, executive, and nontechnical audiences </li><li></li></ul> What Will Put You Ahead<ul><li> Familiarity with cloud-native architectures on AWS or Azure </li></ul>At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
