Your Skills and Expertise** To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution + Seven (7) or more years of experience working with or engaging key US Army organizations in a private, public, government or military environment + Five (5) or more years of experience advising on and specifying materials, technology and capabilities into US Army systems + Named, current relationships within the U.S. Army User, requirements, acquisition, or science and technology community, exercised within the last three years + Ability to obtain and hold a DoD Security Clearance (Active Secret clearance preferred) Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: + Demonstrated ability to shape requirements and achieve design-wins- not only to capture already-funded competitions + Demonstrated ability to orchestrate across functions (product management, channel, contracts, legal, finance, etc.) in a highly matrixed, multi-disciplined environment + Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) + Prior military service in the US Army is highly desired but not required + Proven leader with a track record of success in business development, sales and achieving business results + Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce.com + Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills + Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Experience with federal and defense market intelligence platforms such as GovWin IQ, Bloomberg Government (BGOV), and DACIS **Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at our office in Washington DC unless internal or external engagements require travel elsewhere.** **Travel: May include up to 25%-30% Domestic/International** **Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized** **Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).** _Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws._ _U.S. Here you will make an impact by: + Developing and executing 3M’s U.S. Army engagement strategy across the Army User, requirements, acquisition, and science and technology communities, key prime contractors and platform providers + Winning Requirements & Programs of Record: positioning 3M’s capabilities into programs by engaging the Army’s requirements and acquisition enterprise- the user and requirements community, Army Material Command (AMC) and its subordinate material and sustainment commands as well as the Army’s Portfolio Acquisition Executives (PAEs).
