Position Summary The Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia invites applications for up to three (3) full-time Lecturer positions beginning August 2026. These are 9-month, full time, non-tenure track appointments with benefits. Lecturers will teach a 4/4 load (eight courses per academic year) in studio and related art courses, supporting core undergraduate instruction across the School of Art. These positions are intended to strengthen foundational and intermediate-level offerings while providing instructional flexibility across the curriculum. Lecturers are expected to contribute fully to undergraduate instruction, participate in service appropriate to a teaching-focused appointment, and engage actively in the intellectual and creative life of the School. Additional Requirements Candidates with a non-terminal master's degree must document exceptional accomplishments in their respective field and be approved for a terminal degree exception before hire.Legal authorization to work in the United States at the time of appointment. New Coaches can work *10-25 classes a week, begin at $15 per hour (training), and can earn up to $36 per hour, based on performance. Our programs come with ready-made curriculums. Afternoon classes M-F 230-430p will follow in the future as more programming is added. There is also a Tuesday 430p Open Class now enrolling at Old Atlanta Park Rec Center, subject to minimum enrollment levels.Weekend or After School Coaching hours may be available as well.<h3></h3><h3>CLASS LOCATIONS:</h3>Classes are held in preschools/day-care centers, elementary schools, parks, and recreation centers. Coaches will travel to each class location and may coach either our multi sport or karate program. The ideal candidate is working on or has a Bachelor's degree in visual communication, graphic design, or a related field; at least two years of experience in graphic design or in the print industry, and is skilled in copyediting/proofreading and desktop publishing.

<h5>Graphic Designer </h5>The Graphic Designer is responsible for following through on all customer graphics orders and will help with volume copying. In addition to effective conceptualization abilities, strong design skills, and technical expertise, the Graphic Designer must be highly collaborative by nature and must have demonstrated strengths in graphics design, project management, and communication.
