Department MOCA, Education-OPS Compensation $17.00 Hourly MOCA Jacksonville is looking for Summer Camp Art Instructors to implement and support MOCA's annual Summer Camp @MOCA. The instructor will lead sessions of camp at the Museum for children ages 6-14. Summer Camp offers weekly sessions from June 1 - 26 and July 6- 31, 2026. Instructors will attend a mandatory training session in May 2026. Job responsibilities: <ul><li>Report to the Camp Director for all guidance and oversight </li><li>Develop and teach a creative and engaging curriculum for the provided MOCA camp topics </li><li>Submit written lesson plans and supply lists within budget by the department's deadline </li><li>Teach a weekly class to a group of 18 students ranging in age from 6 to 14 </li><li>Ensure that activities are effectively and safely implemented following risk management protocol </li><li>Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, patience, and flexibility </li><li>Oversee behavioral plans and manage discipline issues with students </li><li>Work with volunteers in camp classes to prep supplies and implement classroom management procedures </li><li>Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude with staff, parents, and campers </li><li>Set up, break down, and clean the classroom on a weekly basis </li><li>Maintain health and safety guidelines in compliance with current museum protocols </li><li>Other responsibilities as requested: </li><li>Ensure the safety of all students with basic First Aid Training </li><li>Ensure the safety of the museum collection by following all policies and procedures </li></ul>Cannot be a current UNF student for this position type.
