<h5>Job Title </h5>Essential Duties and Responsibilities <ul><li>Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans based on district approved curriculum </li><li>Provide individualized and small group instruction as needed to create a personalized learning experience for each student </li><li>Maintainsa safe, organized classroom through effective classroom management </li><li>Establishes and maintains appropriate relationships with students, parents, community members and staff </li><li>Communicates regularly with parents regarding their child's academic and behavioral progress </li><li>Collaborates with all instructional staff and other school personnel </li><li>Evaluates students' academic growth by administering developmentally appropriate assessments, maintaining accurate records and preparing progress reports </li><li>Demonstrates a commitment to continuous professional growth by participating in professional development and other meetings as needed in accordance with District and Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) guidelines </li><li>Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates behavior that is conscientious and responsible </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by principal </li></ul>Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Valid AR teaching license </li><li>Clean background check </li><li>Effective oral and written communication skills </li><li>Knowledge of relevant technology </li></ul>Physical Requirements <ul><li>Be able to stand for the majority of the school day in order to effectively monitor and supervise students </li><li>Be able to walk short distances to supervise students between classrooms and activities </li><li>Be able to sit, stand, lean, reach, bend, lift and squat to assist students as needed </li><li>Be able to walk on uneven surfaces (playground) </li><li>Be able to walk up and down stairs </li><li>Be outside in all weather conditions for assigned duty (recess, before school drop offs, after school pick-ups and field trips) </li></ul>* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
