These areas would complement existing and developing research programs in symptom and toxicity measurement and management; patient-reported outcomes (PROs); technology-supported behavioral and psychosocial interventions; biobehavioral mechanisms in cancer control; electronic health records (EHR), bioinformatics, and value-based models of cancer survivorship care; health disparities in specific survivorship subgroups (e.g., LGBT, Hispanic, elderly populations); cardiometabolic health in cancer survivors; epidemiological cohort studies; and lifestyle medicine and translational science research. SONHS facilities include over 53,000 square feet dedicated to high-tech classrooms, seminar rooms, and computer labs supporting research and education, as well as a 1,225-square-foot Biobehavioral Laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art tools for molecular assessments (e.g., cell culture, DNA methylation, gene expression, protein quantification) and biospecimen storage.
