Position Summary:
<p style="margin:0px">The<strong> Barback</strong> position is a crucial support role within the bar area, ensuring bartenders have the necessary supplies and assistance to provide excellent service to customers. Barbacks help maintain the bar's cleanliness, restock inventory, and assist with various tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operation.</p><p style="margin:0px"> </p><p style="margin:0px">This role pays an hourly rate of $17.27 and is tip eligible.</p><p style="margin:0px"><br/><strong>This is a seasonal position from April 6th, 2026 to May 31, 2026.</strong></p><p style="margin:0px"> </p><p style="margin:0px"><strong>This position will remain open until May 31, 2026.</strong></p>

About the Venue:
<p style="margin:0px">The <strong>LA County Fair</strong> is a large annual event held at Fairplex in Pomona, featuring food vendors, entertainment, and attractions. It is a fast-paced, high-volume environment that requires strong organization and teamwork to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for guests.</p>

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Maintain bar operations and support bartenders before, during, and post-hours of operation.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and always restock equipment of the bar.</li><li>Fill garnishment trays when needed.</li><li>Refill ice wells.</li><li>Restock Liquor / wine / canned cocktails.</li><li>Able to receive and stock deliveries and place items in correct areas of Bar / Back of House with a clear and organized approach.</li><li>Set up and break down bar with consistency, organization, and insight on a daily basis.</li><li>Check and assist servers in maintaining adequate amounts of supplies, i.e. stir sticks, napkins, etc. for both the immediate bar and beer stands.</li><li>Communicate with servers on orders to ensure delivery of supplies to members in a timely manner and alerting the Bartender & Bar Manager before running low on a particular item.</li><li>Take pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in neat and clean clothing; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by Company policy</li><li>Work in a team environment with the ability to be team player.</li><li>Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.</li><li>Assist other Team Members as needed or when business needs dictate.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>1-2 years acting as a Barback or similar role in hospitality/food & beverage environments.</li><li>Must have RBS alcohol certificate required by Law.</li><li>Must have CA food handlers certificate required by state law.</li><li>Ensure they have what they need to do their work and taking a hands-on approach to work.</li><li>Must have knowledge / willing to be trained on how to change bibs / kegs.</li><li>Must have knowledge of various beers, wines and spirits.</li><li>Must maintain excellent attendance.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast paced team-orientated environment.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.</li><li>Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.</li><li>Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time, work long hours if needed.</li><li>Ability to work days, nights, and/or weekends as required.</li></ul>
