Must be state certified as a medical assistant in the state of employment, meet the state guidelines for exceptions to certification, or have one of the following national certifications: NHA - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT - National Certified Medical Assistant(NCMA), AAMA - Certified Medical Assistant(CMA), or NAHP - Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant(NRCMA). *Communicate effectively and coherently to administration, staff, inmates/residents, visitors and the general public, particularly in situations requiring tact, diplomacy, understanding, fairness, firmness and good judgment.
