When you join RadNet as a <strong><em>Patient Clinical Specialist II</em></strong>, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21<sup>st</sup> century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.</p><p> </p><p><strong>You Will:</strong></p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Patient Service Representative</p><ul><li>Greets and registers patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.</li><li>Obtains proper insurance and patient information, collects signatures, and ensures accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.</li><li>Verifies and updates patient/physician/insurance changes to ensure proper billing.</li><li>Collects and records and ensures proper handling of co-pays and fees.</li><li>Answers and transfers incoming phone calls.</li><li>Schedules, reschedules or cancels new or current patients, confirms appointments, and notifies staff of changes when necessary.</li><li>Enters accurate information in the system.</li><li>Pre-registers, submits reports and documents, inputs clinical data for the appointment, and requests prior imaging as needed.</li><li>Gives patients appropriate orientation for preparatory and safety protocols.</li><li>Respond to patients' questions and concerns and refer to supervisors when necessary in an expedient manner.</li><li>Maintains awareness of the temperament/mood of patients in the lobby to ensure optimal service experience and curtail any frustrations or communication that could affect the experience of other patients.</li><li>Communicates appointment delays in a timely fashion and offers to reschedule in circumstances where delays could be significant.</li><li>Coordinates with the back-office staff for timely and effective care of patients.</li><li>Obtains proper authorization and identification before release of confidential medical records.</li><li>Uses clerical skills (e.g. filing, organizing, processing incoming mail, etc.).</li><li>Provides management with reports and logs when required.</li></ul><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities of an MRI Technical Aide</p><ul><li>Takes accurate patient medical histories with MRI safety and records information into patients’ medical charts and/or electronic medical records systems for patient flow and accurate encounter documentation.</li><li>Accurately maintains and records patient communication during exams.</li><li>Stocks and maintains all supply levels for assigned area; orders and restocks following site guidelines/protocols.</li><li>Support technologists with procedures as needed, including setting up coils, scheduling maintenance, and/or cleaning the MRI suite, and other duties as assigned.</li><li>May administer oral contrast to patients and provide instructions as needed under the direction of a technologist.</li><li>Comply with all HIPAA, confidentiality, and safety guidelines for a laboratory / clinical environment. Ensures appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and exercises universal precautions when dealing with all patients and exams.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant MRI control room space. Decontaminate equipment, coils, and exam/control room using the designated products and procedures.</li><li>Respond to requests and questions efficiently, effectively, and positively.</li><li>Handles upset or irate individuals professionally and courteously.</li><li>Remains aware of appointment delays and schedule changes and regularly communicates to the front desk team and/or Site Management.</li><li>May burn CDs as indicated.</li><li>Report any equipment malfunctions to MRI Steering Technologist and Site Manager.</li><li>Assists in the performance of QC, including daily visual checklist and weekly QC.</li><li>Accurately and correctly positions patients for exams, including placement of coils.</li><li>Assist with completing all patient screening documents and scan them appropriately.</li><li>Assists with lifting and transferring physically challenged patients to and from exam tables</li><li>May remove and properly dispose of IV catheters, bandages, and puncture sites.</li><li>Provide any discharge instructions in conjunction with the MRI Steering Technologist.</li><li>Communicates effectively with the MRI Steering Technologist.</li></ul><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a DEXA Technologist</p><ul><li>Performs high-quality DEXA (Bone Density) and diagnostic radiographic services (limited to chest, extremities, skull, and torso-skeletal) on patients within the legal scope of licensure.</li><li>Monitors patient's well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.</li><li>Responds to physician questions regarding exams.</li><li>Greets incoming patients and visitors.</li><li>Coordinates with office staff for timely care of patients.</li><li>Cross-trains and helps as needed with patient registration, as a Technologist Aide, and/or in other departments.</li><li>Operates imaging equipment correctly.</li><li>Positions patients correctly.</li><li>Explain the radiology procedure to the patient before performing the exam.</li><li>Immobilizes the patient as necessary.</li><li>Practices radiation protection.</li><li>Evaluate radiographs and/or DEXA scans for technical quality.</li><li>Maintains patient records and filing system.</li><li>Prepares supply orders and forwards them to the radiology technologist.</li><li>Maintains equipment and keeps work area clean.</li><li>Produces high-quality diagnostic images and /or bone density scans on time while providing excellent patient care.</li><li>Treats patients and customers, including family members or care providers who may accompany the patient, with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.</li><li>Understands and uses the equipment's scales, field of view, gain, voltage, amps, and other adjustments and factors to produce high-quality images and/or DEXA scans.</li></ul><p><strong>If You Are:</strong></p><ul><li>Graduated from the ImagingWorks program and perform duties as a Patient Service Representative, MRI Technical Assistant, and DEXA Technologist.  This position will play a vital role in the assigned region and assist in coverage at the home location and as assigned across the region.  </li><li>Passionate about patient care and exercise sound judgement and an ability to remain professional in all situations.</li><li>You demonstrate effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills and respect with patients, guests & colleagues.</li><li>You have a structured work-approach, understand complex problems and you are able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><p><strong>To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:</strong></p><ul><li>Must have graduated from the ImagingWorks Intern program</li><li>Must have a valid and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification</li><li>Must have a valid and current California State DEXA license</li><li>Must have one of the following: a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)</li><li>Possesses and utilizes excellent customer service skills, strong public relations skills, and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Must be detail-oriented and organized, possess clerical skills, and have the ability to interact effectively with doctors, referring doctors and staff, patients, vendors, peers, and management.</li><li>Must be willing to drive to other Imaging Centers as directed by management</li><li>Must have a valid Driver’s License in good standing</li></ul><p><strong>We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Comprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision coverages.</li><li>Health Savings Accounts with employer funding.</li><li>Wellness dollars</li><li>401(k) Employer Match</li><li>Free services at any of our imaging centers for you and your immediate family.</li></ul><p>Pay Range$23.00-$24.00 per hour</p>
