 The Office Manager is the operational backbone of our Mcleansboro location, keeping families informed, documentation moving, and the team supported. You'll be a calm, organized presence that families encounter from their very first interaction with us, and a dependable partner to the funeral directors and location leadership who count on you every day.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for families by phone, email, and in person, with warmth and professionalism</li><li>Coordinate and process death certificates, burial permits, and all required documentation</li><li>Manage scheduling for arrangement conferences, services, and staff</li><li>Handle accounts receivable, invoicing, and general bookkeeping tasks</li><li>Maintain accurate records in funeral home management software</li><li>Assist with pre-need contract administration and follow-up</li><li>Manage office and funeral supply inventory</li><li>Support the location manager with administrative and operational needs as directed</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>2+ years of office administration experience required</li><li>Experience in a funeral home, healthcare, or other service-oriented environment strongly preferred</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace</li><li>Experience with billing, accounts receivable, or basic bookkeeping a plus</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Compassionate communication style and the ability to interact with families during difficult moments</li><li>Discretion with sensitive and confidential information</li></ul>Why IFP?
