Inspects incoming equipment for compliance with codes, standards and manufacturer's recommendations.</li><li>Performs scheduled/preventive maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and quality assurance consistent with applicable regulatory standards on assigned medical equipment in a timely manner.</li><li>Repairs patient care equipment, medical communications equipment and PCs to board/module level through and understanding of electronics theory and applications including operating systems and PC repair. Reads detailed electronic schematics. Troubleshoots equipment using available test equipment. Monitors the work of outside contractors/vendors engaged in equipment repair.</li><li>Provides customer relations and resolves equipment service problems by ensuring that clinical capability is restored as quickly as possible. Maintains communication with customers regarding the status of equipment repairs. Proactively solves technology issues when appropriate. Coordinates/schedules service (self, vendor and, when appropriate, other technicians) via management of customer expectations. Performs device investigations related to regulations and/or incident reporting under supervision if applicable.</li><li>Provides direct marketing and sales support to Technology Management internal and external customers.</li><li>Documents all work performed, maintains parts, supplies, tools, test equipment and technical literature by completing service reports and supplemental productivity documentation in an accurate and timely manner. Maintains an accurate and current parts inventory. Assists manager in maintaining a comprehensive library of technical literature.</li><li>Assists with equipment installations and project work involving patient care, medical communications technology, and clinical application networks.</li><li>Trains field technicians with less expertise in preventative maintenance and repair of medical equipment, and service delivery methods when appropriate. </li><li>Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day. <h4>Qualifications</h4>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust possess a strong knowledge of electronics as normally obtained through the completion of an Associate’s degree Biomedical Technologies from an accredited college, technical school or equivalent experience and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience within an acute-care hospital setting. Alternatively, candidates with at least five (5) years of related experience within an acute hospital setting may qualify if they obtain a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) Certificate within six (6) months of hire. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy Must possess a working knowledge of electricity, AC/DC electronics including power supplies, electro/mechanics including motors and motor controls, and hydraulics/pneumatics. Must be knowledgeable in medical terminology and basic physiology. Summary Location: Anchorage, AK Job Title: Supervisor, Mammography Technologists Specialty: Mammography / Breast Imaging Job Summary: The Supervisor of Mammography Technologists is responsible for ensuring full compliance with Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA), American College of Radiology (ACR), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations. This role oversees all accreditation, certification, inspection readiness, quality control programs, and operational workflows within the mammography department. The supervisor manages staff performance, develops protocols and policies, ensures high-quality imaging standards, and coordinates breast imaging services including biopsies, localizations, and sentinel lymph node procedures. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Oversee all MQSA, ACR, and NRC accreditation, certification, and recertification processes.</li><li>Implement and maintain quality control and quality assurance programs, including documentation and compliance with regulatory standards.</li><li>Ensure accurate, compliant patient records and reporting consistent with MQSA Final Rule.</li><li>Maintain and update procedure manuals related to quality, patient education, safety, infection control, and imaging protocols.</li><li>Monitor Sentinel Lymph Node Program to ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to ALARA principles.</li><li>Coordinate and supervise quality control logs and record-keeping for regulatory review.</li><li>Assist radiologists with lymphoscintigraphy and other breast imaging procedures.</li><li>Coordinate and participate in regulatory inspections and equipment evaluations.</li><li>Supervise and coordinate breast imaging appointments, referrals, and inter-departmental communication.</li><li>Manage daily mammography operations to ensure delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging.</li><li>Conduct performance evaluations, approve staff leave, manage scheduling, coach and train staff, and implement corrective actions as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with vendors regarding equipment upgrades, purchases, and technology advancements.</li><li>Supervise training of mammography students and ensure compliance with licensing test requirements.</li><li>Work closely with biomedical engineering to ensure optimal equipment function and maintenance.</li><li>Maintain workflow efficiency and effective communication between providers, surgical clinics, and imaging staff.</li><li>Perform screening and diagnostic mammography, stereotactic biopsies, localizations, and assist with sentinel node injections as needed.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications & Requirements/ Certifications: Minimum Education: <ul><li>Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or related field.</li><li>Relevant experience and/or training may be substituted year-for-year for formal education.</li></ul>Minimum Experience: <ul><li>Five (5) years of mammography experience.</li><li>Two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience.</li></ul>Minimum Certifications: <ul><li>ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist in good standing.</li><li>ARRT (M) Mammography Certification.</li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.</li></ul>Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Diagnostic Radiology or related field. Additional Requirements: May be required to obtain additional certifications depending on organizational needs.
