Examples of these medical devices are; Infusion Pumps, Centrifuges, Suction pumps, Patient Support equipment, etc. The Medical Equipment Technician will also provide the following services; electrical systems check, equipment tagging, incoming equipment inspections, installation, recall & alert activities and calibration & repair of medical devices. Basic X-Ray Training and ability to perform PM's on basic x-ray systems a plus.Qualifications:REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Must have one of the following: Associates Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or related field United States Military Biomedical Equipment Service training.Technical certificate from accredited institution for Biomedical Equipment Service, electronics, or other related field.One to three years of direct medical device service experience.Valid Driver’s License.Demonstrated ability to effectively use hand tools commonly associated with the repair and maintenance of medical equipmentDemonstrated ability to use test equipment, gauges and meters commonly associated with the service of medical equipment.Demonstrated ability to read, understand and interpret technical documentation including, but not limited to wiring and equipment schematics.Demonstrated ability of basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications.Demonstrate basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology Demonstrate basic understanding of medical terminology.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:2 years direct medical equipment service experience.Basic X-Ray Training and/ or Specialized Biomedical Equipment Service training on specific equipment (Anesthesia, sterilizers, ultrasound, or X-ray,).Be able to provide expert level knowledge and skills on at least two specialized medical technology device types. Job Summary:
 Performs all duties without direct supervision. This position is responsible for adhering to established service standards and for reinforcing service standards with all employees. Independently, performs skilled technical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices. Incumbent may be expected to be present during the clinical use of equipment in area of expertise. Provides assistance to technicians and operators of medical devices. Participates in disaster, fire, and other emergencies; observes all hospital safety practices and regulations. Reports to emergency call-ins when necessary, by responding on-site. 

Required Qualifications:
 - Require an associate degree in electronics (preferably biomedical) or equivalent military electronics training (preferably biomedical). - Require a minimum of two (2) years of progressively complex experience (troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, design, and modification) as a hospital-based biomedical engineer technician; Four (4) years of servicing complex electronic equipment will be considered. - Require schedule flexibility with the ability to work shift work or weekends as required. - Require the ability to obtain a level 2 AHCA clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:
 - Prefer familiarity with codes applicable to field and industry. - Prefer proficiency in written and verbal communication. - Prefer proficiency in the use of test equipment and tools pertinent to the field. - Prefer the ability to take initiative, provide leadership when needed, and perform with minimal supervision. - Prefer Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) certification, as well as, previous factory service certification on clinical equipment and systems. - Prefer demonstrated broad experience in microcomputer systems and software, client server concepts and local and wide area network concepts, as well as, demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office or similar products (primarily Word and Excel) and networking technology.

<div>Pharmetric laboratory is a growing testing laboratory.</div><div> </div><div>Job Description:</div><div>Pharmetric Laboratory is seeking a Full Time sterile Technicians.  You should know sterile techniquand a knowledge of USP would be very valuable.  We are a testing laboratory and have immediate openings for sterile lab technicians for our 5PM to 1 AM.  We can have 10 hour shifts 4 days a week.  The need is immediate. If you have a background in microbiology, pharmacy, sterile laboratory work you are ideal for this position.  Sterile technique is an absolute must, and prior work using sterile technique is required.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to, confidentiality in all matters at the laboratory, participation in training, ability to keep accurate records and understanding of good laboratory practices.  Understanding of aseptic environment and aseptic technique is an absolute must for this position.  You must be able to maintain facilities in an extremely clean status.</div><div> </div><div>So what's required besides aseptic technique?  Basic computer knowledge (windows, email, Microsoft office)  Knowledge of laboratory equipment and maintenance.  You should be able to work with a team, we have no super stars here, only team players.  You should be responsible, accountable, and trust worthy.</div><div>What would you do during the day?  You'd receive samples, be responsible for chain of custody, cleaning of samples, understand how the pharmetric laboratory computer system works (don't worry, we'll train you).  you might be responsible for materials preparation and you'd have to understand the work flow of the lab.  The main task is testing samples for sterility, so you'd have to understand how the equipment works, is maintained etc.  </div><div>Specific training.  You'd be taught how to use the equipment, there would be safety training, biomedical waste management, cleaning and disinfection, depyrogenation and sterilization training.  Of course there would be a competency assessment at the end of each training session.</div><div>If you're an individual that enjoys going to work every day, and want to work with a great team, apply for this job!
