Other duties may be assigned:</div><ul><li>Be flexible to accommodate special projects that come up regularly and are related to the work.</li><li>Set up, operate, adjust, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.</li><li>Participate in conducting a battery of laboratory analyses utilizing standard lab methods, on human specimens.</li><li>Isolate, dissect, and prepare specimens for standardized quality assessment/assurance.</li><li>Participate in conducting and monitoring molecular biology experiments, make observations, and calculate and record operational data and complete results to submit for discussions.</li><li>Assist in banking human specimens while working with the donor coordinator for timely processing and preservation of incoming all brain/spinal cord tissue and fluid specimens.</li><li>Participate in on-call rotating schedule duty without schedule restrictions. This includes evenings, weekends and after-hours receiving and preservation of incoming brain/spinal cord tissue and fluid specimens.</li><li>Assist in a timely shipment of prepared quality assessment/assurance tested banked specimens to the requesting researchers.</li><li>Participate in the research and development scientific processes of the Brain Bank.</li><li>Use computers, computer-interfaced equipment, robotics or high-throughput equipment and computer applications to perform work duties.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Qualifications:</strong></div><ul><li>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Demonstrated skill in maintaining growth suspension and monolayer cell cultures. (Required)</li><li>3. Demonstrated skill in preparation of various stock solution and sterilization by disposable filter units. (Required)</li><li>4. Demonstrated skill in sterile techniques used in tissue culture. (Required)</li><li>5. Demonstrated skill in proper use and maintenance of lab equipment, e. g. centrifuge and electrophoresis. (Required)</li><li>6. Skill in analyzing data with stand data analysis tools. Skill in following written laboratory protocols. (Required)</li><li>8.
