The purpose of this position is to lead a crew of 8-15 personnel with vehicles and equipment in repairing and maintaining roadways and right of way facilities (pavement, shoulders, landscaping, facilities, equipment, guardrails, walls, fencing, drainage, rights of way, and bridges) along an assigned 8–10-mile section of road corridor and ensuring the roadway is open and available for the public. This is accomplished by inspecting work performed along the roadway, supervising, and coordinating crew maintenance and repair activities, ensuring all tools and supplies are available, providing instruction and training, assisting with emergency events, establishing lane closures, coordinating with public safety personnel during emergency response, and maintaining maintenance repair records.
