Position Purpose:The bilingual (Spanish) CDL Driver class A at SRS ensures safe, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Safely operate Class B vehicles within a 200-mile radius, following DOT regulations with no overnight travel.</li><li>Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, verify inventory accuracy, and ensure secure, damage-free deliveries.</li><li>Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards, collaborate with customers for material placement, and document deliveries with photos per company policy.</li><li>Support yard operations and uphold OSHA safety standards to maintain a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.</li></ul> Direct Manager Direct Reports:This position will typically report to the Assistant Branch Manager or Operations Manager and may supervise or train junior drivers if required. Travel Requirements:CDL Drivers at SRS travel locally and interstate within a 200-mile radius, ensuring all deliveries begin and end at the home branch the same day—no overnight stays required. Physical Requirements:CDL Drivers must be physically capable of long hours of driving and handling materials up to 100 lbs. Responsibilities include loading/unloading with forklifts or manually, working in varied weather and noisy environments, and reading job-related documents in English. Candidates must be 18+ (21 for interstate/hazmat), pass background checks, drug tests, and E-Verify.</li><li>High school diploma or GED required. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Position OverviewOur Drivers transport bulk and packaged products to customer job sites, operate our vehicles to manufacture and deliver product in to blast holes and provide general blast crew labor as needed. Driver candidates must have a valid CDL Class A or B with current Hazmat and Tanker endorsements as well as current medical certification. If you need either of these endorsements we will assist you in obtaining within 90 days of hire. Responsibilities of the Position<ul><li>While carrying out daily responsibilities safety and compliance must be the first priority. </li><li>Must be reliable and able to work closely with other location and crew members to provide exceptional customer service. </li><li>Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. </li><li>Load and unload vehicles ensuring products are handled, transported and stored according to policy and regulations. </li><li>Work outdoors in all types of weather, lifting and carrying 50 pounds or more of product and material on a regular basis. </li><li>Pull hoses, shovel and frequently walk, bend or squat. </li><li>Attend training and be able to to demonstrate knowledge and competence of vehicle operating systems and product application.</li><li>Available to work overtime to meet customer objectives.</li><li>Assisting as general labor on customer site locations after arriving with product</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Must be at least 21 years old.</li><li>Must possess a valid CDL license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and current medical certification. </li><li>High school education or equivalent. </li><li>Position requires ability to pass a background check conducted by the ATF to possess and handle explosives. </li><li>Ability to lift 50+ pounds and handle physically demanding work outdoors on a daily basis.</li><li>Must be able to work under various weather conditions on rough terrain. </li><li>Must be self-motivated, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic.</li></ul>Pay and BenefitsWe offer a competitive starting pay rate based on experience.
