A Paratransit Operator provides professional, knowledgeable, and courteous transportation services by answering customer questions, scheduling and providing customer trips, reporting problems to supervisory personnel, instructing new employees in the proper operation of vehicles and departmental procedures, and driving paratransit vehicles. Employees in this class must be in good physical condition such to allow for light physical work activity involving bending, stooping, and prolonged sitting with considerable pushing and pulling of arm and leg controls.
